Additionally, playing pickleball can provide social benefits for stroke survivors, which can improve their overall well-being. The game can be played in pairs or groups, encouraging communication and teamwork. Social engagement is important for stroke survivors as it can reduce depression and anxiety.
However, stroke survivors should take necessary precautions and modifications when playing pickleball. The game may need to be modified to meet individual needs and abilities, such as playing with a smaller court size or slower ball. It is also essential to consult with a healthcare provider before engaging in any new physical activity. Neuroplasticity is essential for recovery and activity puts the brain in a Hyper-Plastic state providing many benefits to recovery.

For the last 12 months, I have recorded a huge Increase in motor control reflexes, cardiovascular health, and overall Physical and Occupational therapy goals that I can directly attribute to playing pickleball.
