Lindsay Vos - “Since 2011, during her senior year at the University of Toledo, the former basketball star turned recreation therapist had struggled to deal with the effects of an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in her brain.” (Cleveland Clinic, 11/2021) Read more of her story at when you get the opportunity! Lindsay has been through so much and overcame A

LOT to get to where she is today. 🥰

Kent Bragg - After experiencing an Intracerebral Hemorrhage induced Stroke August 14, 2020 while working in Mexico Kent was temporarily paralyzed on the left side of his body. Through 8-12 hours a day of physical therapy, changes in his nutrition, and reducing a HUGE percentage of professional stress in his life Kent is now competing as a long distance runner 🏃🏻‍♂️in marathons, 50K races, 50 mile ultras, and 100 mile ultras! In June Kent will also be competing in the 200M & 400M Dash at the Ohio Senior (ages 50+) Olympics in Columbus, Ohio! 😎

Neale Mahon - “On May 21st, 2018 I suffered a severe brain stem stroke that left me completely paralyzed on my entire left side. I was unable to walk, talk, or eat on my own. Two days after my stroke it was ironically my 32nd birthday. My only wish was to be able to walk again.”

These 3 people are survivors, inspiring, and motivating to those they meet! I am proud 🥹 to know these amazing 🤩 folks, especially that guy in the middle 😍😘.

Lindsay, Kent, and Neale’s stories are PROOF that when you do the things and keep pushing forward that YOU are in control of your life. Sometimes when I start to have my own negative self talk I look at these people for empowerment and positivity. There is no room for excuses when you know these heroes!
